INTERCARGO Urges Members To Join Dry Bulk Management Standard (DryBMS)

82

INTERCARGO is calling on its members, including shipowners, managers, and operators, to subscribe to the newly launched Dry Bulk Management Standard (DryBMS) portal. With a focus on safety, operational efficiency, and sustainability, participation in this initiative is crucial for shaping the future of the dry bulk shipping industry.

Collaborative Development of DryBMS

Subscribers to the Dry Bulk Centre of Excellence (DBCE) can actively contribute to the development of the DryBMS standard, ensuring it reflects the needs of all stakeholders. The DBCE’s governance structure gives shipowners, operators, and charterers an equal voice in guiding the standard forward.

INTERCARGO’s Incentive for Members

To encourage involvement, INTERCARGO offers an exclusive incentive: the £1,000 initial sign-up fee will be credited toward the 2025 INTERCARGO membership fee for members subscribing to the DBCE in 2024, making participation more accessible.

Paving the Way for Safer, Sustainable Shipping

As a founding member of the DBCE, INTERCARGO believes member participation is vital to the widespread adoption of DryBMS, which aims to create a safer, more efficient, and environmentally sustainable dry bulk industry.
