Concordia Damen has announced its collaboration with Amasus, Deugro Danmark, Siemens Gamesa, and DEKC Maritime in developing two advanced Offshore Wind RoRo vessels, Rotra Futura and Rotra Horizon. These vessels are specifically designed to support the transportation needs of the offshore wind energy sector, addressing the growing demand for larger and more powerful wind turbines.

The vessels are engineered to handle the transportation of increasingly larger wind turbine components. - Advanced RO/RO System
Features an innovative Roll-On/Roll-Off system and a specially designed ramp for efficient cargo handling. - Enhanced Loading Flexibility
Equipped with three Liebherr cranes and a unique ramp system that allows turbine blades to be stacked in three tiers, optimizing space. - Optimized Dimensions
At 167.6 x 26 meters, with the wheelhouse and accommodation at the bow, the vessels maximize cargo capacity while ensuring clear visibility.

- Eco-Friendly Design
The vessels incorporate an aerodynamic, hydro-optimized hull design with low-resistance coating, reducing fuel consumption. - Advanced Propulsion and Engine Efficiency
Powered by a Wärtsilä main engine, which uses 15% less fuel and emits lower CO₂ compared to current industry standards. - Hybrid Propulsion System
Fully compliant with IMO Tier 3 standards, the system combines fuel efficiency with reduced emissions. - Energy Recovery
An integrated waste heat recovery system further enhances sustainability by minimizing energy loss.
