About 43 million hectares of land, across the globe, is for organic agriculture. The demand for the organic products has grown to a larger extent. According to a FiBL-IFOAM report, in 2013, United States had a larger market for organic products for about $ 26.7 billion. Second and third positions were held by Germany and France, which had a retail sale of $8.3 billion and $ 4.8 billion respectively. EU, in total, did not match with US sales that had amounted to $24.56 billion. Around the globe, the sales reached $ 72 billion in that year.
