A Bride’s Emotional Dance with The Selfless Hero Who Saved her Life
Greta Hokanson Danced with Danny Daniels her saviour.
Greta was just 16 when she was diagnosed with Leukemia. She needed a bone marrow transplant to save her life. Danny Daniels came forward to give his bone marrow and save Greta through the Be the match bone marrow registry. Greta and her family got a chance to meet him after two years. She felt amazing to meet the selfless man who donated his bone marrow without even knowing her.
Now Greta is getting married to Tony Hokanson. She had invited Danny for her marriage. She was thrilled when she received his RSVP. At the October 10 reception in Sartell, Minnesota, Greta and Danny shared an emotional dance to “Angels Among Us” by Alabama. Tony met Danny at the reception for the first time and he said, “It was really an honor to meet him,” Tony said. “He’s such a generous man and it was great to get a chance to talk with him and get to know him better. Without him and the Be The Match foundation, there’s a really good chance I wouldn’t have Greta as my wife today.” The complete reception hall was filled with tears, smiles and happiness.
