On May 31, the 59-meter luxury yacht IDOL collided with the Autostrada Azzurra Bridge, Pisa Canal, Pisa, Italy, according to the yachting publication Boat International as reported by Maritime Bulletin.
Collision
The yacht had just finished a refit at a yacht refit yard in Pisa when it was involved in a collision. The yacht was equipped with a helipad, among other features. According to available information, yachts attempted to cross the bridge during high tide, however, the bridge is only usable for vessels of this size during low tide.

IDOL is a 59-meter motor yacht with an IMO of 1008205, a GT of 903 and a flag of Malta of 28 guests and 13 crew.
