AD Ports Group has made a significant investment of around US$200 million in procuring 10 offshore vessels. This strategic move aims to reinforce the company’s presence in the Middle East and Southeast Asia, according to an article published on the oil & gas website.

Strategic Investment For Enhanced Operations

AD Ports Group, a significant global entity in trade and logistics, recently invested around US$200 million in procuring 10 offshore vessels. This acquisition is poised to bolster the group’s offshore capabilities and establish it as a premier service provider in the Middle East and Southeast Asia.

Revitalizing Fleet And Diversifying Portfolio

The acquired fleet, with an average age of approximately 9 years (younger than industry standards), spans various vessel types, offering Multipurpose Supply Vessels (MPSVs), Platform Supply Vessels (PSVs), Diving Support Vessels (DSVs), and Accommodation Workboats (AWBs). This diversified fleet aims to address the scarcity of quality assets for upcoming major offshore projects in the Middle East.

Strategic Alignment And Revenue Projections

AD Ports Group’s strategic move aligns with its plan to diversify its maritime portfolio and stabilize performance, particularly anticipating an upward trend in the offshore oil and gas market. The anticipated revenue from established contracts is estimated to surpass US$70 million annually over the next 3-5 years.

CEO’s Insight And Market Positioning

Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, the Managing Director and Group CEO, sees this expansion as a key step in fortifying their presence in the energy sector. By strengthening the fleet, the group is better poised to serve as a top offshore service provider in these regions while catering to the evolving needs of its customers.

Future Outlook And Market Leverage

The group, already established in the offshore industry, aims to consolidate its position further. With promising trends in the global offshore oil and gas market and offshore wind sector, AD Ports Group plans to harness this expansion to leverage market growth, optimize operations, and offer enhanced services to its clientele.
