ASRY Optimistic About Prospects for 2018

ASRY is a leading ship and rig repair facilities in the Middle East Gulf, who held the 150th meeting of its Board of Directors at the company’s headquarters in Bahrain, under the chairmanship of His Excellency Shaikh Daij bin Salman Al-Khalifa.

What was discussed?

The Board was optimistic about the positive trading year for the ASRY’s shipyard, with volumes of repair and conversion works expected to increase.

H.E Shaikh Daij describes the meeting as ‘fruitful and constructive’, while he says, “The Board reviewed the positive progress made over the second half of 2017, as well as the general improvement in the company’s position throughout the year. Looking ahead to 2018, it was agreed there is further optimism for the company’s future, with several significant new projects set to materialise next year.”

Also, it was agreed that its future prospects should be helped by the anticipated stabilisation of the global oil price.

Looking forward at the company’s operations in 2018, H.E Shaikh Daij says, “During 2018, the company will focus on its core strengths of ship and rig repair. The coming year will also see the ongoing roll-out of our roadmap for developing and securing the business for the foreseeable future.”
