Bunker sales at Panama gained by about 19% on year in May 2021, according to the latest data from La Autoridad Marítima de Panamá, also known as the Panama Maritime Authority (PMA),reports Manifold Times.

Total bunker sales at Panama was 460,051 metric tonnes (mt) in May, compared to sales of 386,955 mt during the similar period in 2020.
In May 2021, the Pacific side of Panama posted bunker sales of 407,208 mt; 242,852 mt of VLSFO, 73,932 mt of RMG 380, 65,904 mt of marine gas oil (MGO), and 24,520 mt of low sulphur marine gas oil (LSMGO) were delivered.
The similar region saw total marine fuel sales of 331,754 mt a year before in May; with VLSFO sales of 267,361 mt, RMG 380 sales of 26,905 mt, MGO sales of 13,586 mt, and 23,902 mt of LSMGO being sold.
Panama’s Atlantic side, meanwhile, recorded sales of 52,843 mt during May 2021; 41,513 mt of VLSFO, 5,161 mt of RMG 380, 6,169 mt of LSMGO were delivered; MGO recorded no sales.
It saw total sales of 55,201 mt in the similar period a year before; with VLSFO sales of 38,207 mt, RMG 380 sales of 6,513 mt, LSMGO sales of 10,011 mt, and MGO sales of 470 mt.
