Cargo Ship Sank Off Shanghai, A Seafarer Missing

Heavy winds off Yangshan, Shanghai, sunk the cargo ship.  Five crew members managed to escape on a lifeboat whereas one is reported missing.

The China-flagged cargo carrier was en route from Dinghai, Zhejiang province to Shanghai, with six crew members on board.

All five rescued seafarers were sent to a hospital for medical treatment.  Local MSA told that the search operation for the missing seafarer is under way, and an investigation is pending on the incident.
