In the Rhine river, two ships collided as reported by Maritime Bulletin.

Head-on collision

There was a severe collision between a general cargo ship and an inland cargo ship in the Rhine river. 

Both ships’ bows were severely damaged. 

The cargo ship was berthed in Rotterdam, but the inland craft was left in Duisburg.
