USCG Medevacs Burn victim

A 28-year-old man who had suffered burns in his arms and legs was medevaced by the U.S.  Coast Guards from a container ship 20 miles east of Virginia Beach, Virginia, on Saturday.

According to the reports, the local watchstanders at Sector Hampton Roads received a call regarding the burns victim on board the container ship.  A helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Elizabeth City was launched, who medevaced the injured man.  He was then transferred to awaiting hospital emergency personnel.

The man is now in stable condition in hospital.
