Danish Police arrested a Cargo ship’s captain, first mate and engineer on New Year’s Day after the blood alcohol tests revealed that they were above the legal alcohol limit for seafarers.

The Denmark’s Defence Sea Rescue Service noticed the cargo ship making dangerous maneuvers in the port of Elsinore.  As a consequence the ship was detained and a blood alcohol test was conducted in which the three Russian crew men were arrested.  If convicted, the seafarers are likely to be sentenced to jail.

The ship is now anchored at Elsinore, Denmark.
