COSCO SHIPPING designed, developed and built the first domestic dynamic positioning shuttle tanker “Bei Hai Xin Xi Wang” independently and delivered to North Sea Shipping after completion, says an article published in Xinde Marine News.
“Bei Hai Xin Xi Wang” is the first 15000 DWT shuttle tanker with DP2 dynamic positioning in China. COSCO SHIPPING (Qidong) Offshore is responsible for the design, procurement, and construction of the EPC general contract, with completely independent intellectual property rights.
About the vessel
It is 137 meters long, 22.8 meters wide and 12.5 meters deep, with a cargo tank capacity of 18000 m3 and a design speed of 13 knots. It is classified into the China Classification Society and registered under the Chinese flag.
The ship has CCS and DNV certification; The total capacity of the power station is about 6 MW, exceeding that of the conventional 100000 DWT oil tanker power station; It has maintained the advanced nature of the new generation of shuttle tankers and is innovative.
