MOL’s subsidiary, Daibiru Corporation, celebrating its centennial, outlines the ‘Sapporo Daibiru’ project, featuring a luxury boutique hotel named ‘TRUNK (HOTEL)’ owned by TAKE and GIVE NEEDS Co., Ltd.

Daibiru’s PIVOT

  • Daibiru, marking its centennial, expanded into Sapporo in 2019 with the acquisition of three properties, including the PIVOT shopping center.
  • The company, in collaboration with the City of Sapporo, unveiled a mixed-use redevelopment project featuring offices, a hotel, and retail spaces.
  • Daibiru presented the project’s outline during a press conference in Sapporo as part of its proactive engagement with the local community.

TRUNK (HOTEL)

Daibiru selected “TRUNK (HOTEL)” as a hotel to serve as a key element of the project. It is a luxury boutique hotel owned by TAKE and GIVE NEEDS Co., Ltd., one of the largest wedding companies in Japan.

The company’s first hotel opened in Jingumae, Tokyo, in 2017, and this project will be the first to be developed in Hokkaido. Completion of the construction of the project is scheduled for the end of January 2027 and its grand opening of the hotel will be at spring, 2027.

BLUE ACTION 2035

The MOL Group’s new management plan, “BLUE ACTION 2035,” established in March, positions the real property business as one of the non-shipping and stable-profit businesses that will help the group weather fluctuations in the highly volatile shipping market.

Through the execution of this plan, the group will enhance the MOL Group’s corporate value and contribute to the realization of its vision.
