The conversion project, initiated in December 2021, emerged from a partnership facilitated by Damen Shipyards Gorinchem. Damen Dredging supplied all the essential dredging equipment, including trailing suction pipe, gantries, winches, the dredge pump, and valves. The revamped TSHD ‘Sayonara’ now boasts a capacity of approximately 1,400 cubic meters.
Strategic Cooperation with Trusted Suppliers
Concordia Damen worked closely with trusted suppliers, including system integrator Werkina Werkendam, to realize this complex conversion. The vessel underwent significant modifications, including being cut in half and extended by 7.5 meters, creating space for the dredge pump and associated equipment.

Following extensive testing to ensure operational reliability, the special TSHD ‘Sayonara’ was transported to its Nigerian destination in Lagos by Jumbo-SAL-Alliance’s HLV Fairplayer.
