On 10th November, a fire broke out in a newly built gas tanker at Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering’s Okpo Shipyard killing one and injuring seven others.
It’s reported that the tank of a 85,000 dwt LPG vessel under construction caught fire at the yard. It took nearly an hour for Firefighters to put down the fire.
Police and fire officials said about 130 people were working inside the tanker when the fire broke out. All the workers, except the eight escaped immediately.
