Hapag-Lloyd Gets Hold of Africa’s NileDutch

Hapag-Lloyd and NileDutch signed a sale and purchase agreement, says a press release published on their website.

Hapag-Lloyd and NileDutch signed a sale and purchase agreement where Hapag-Lloyd buys all the shares of the Dutch container shipping company NileDutch Investments B.V.

Africa’s specialist NileDutch

NileDutch is one the leading providers of container services from and to West Africa, with an expertise of 40 years.

The company is present across 85 cities in the world and has 16 personal offices. With 10 liner services, around 35,000 TEU of transport capacity and a container fleet of around 80,000 TEU, the company connects Europe, Asia and Latin America with West and South Africa. 

NileDutch has some 350 employees worldwide with particular expertise in the African market.
