Harren & Partner Adds Eight More Boxships To Its Fleet

Harren & Partner recently placed an order for eight 1,400 teu boxships to be constructed by China’s Taizhou Kouan Shipbuilding.

The Bureau Veritas class feeder boxships are of dimension: 153.7 m length,  27.6 m width and 12.5 m depth.  These ships are due for delivery between August 2017 and 2018.  The cost of each ship is nearly $ 24 m and the order is being placed for four firm ships plus 2+2 options.

Entrenched in the shipping business since 1989, the German company owns a fleet of 57 vessels.  Harren & Partner are involved in a wide variety of business segments such as new building concepts, logistics and ship financing, ship building supervision, technical and nautical management of the mobile fleet as well as selling of ships.
