Henning Larsen’s Massive Timber Hub
Henning Larsen Architects from Denmark designed a Logistics Hub measuring 155,000 sq. mts. in Flevopolder island (Netherlands), which is expected to become one of the biggest timber mass Logistics hubs all over the globe. This amenity would consist of office blocks, storage, restaurants, plus a rooftop garden.
Green Oasis And Sustainability
In addition, the company will adopt a rooftop meadow, employee planting beds as well as a botanical walkway for its employees. The presence of over 40% of the site consists of greenness aimed at lowering human load and encouraging wildlife development which helps in CO2 absorption, filtration process, and reduction of heat in the surroundings for a conducive ecosystem. The project focuses on collecting rainwater for reuse and would set a record of being the world’s biggest timber logistics center emphasizing employees’ welfare by integration with nature.
