International Law Firm, Hill Dickinson LLP, is proud to announce that Maria Pittordis, head of marine, trade and energy has won Defendant Personal Injury Lawyer of the Year at the Eclipse Proclaim Personal Injury Awards.
The Eclipse Awards, which aim to encourage and reward high standards of practice, are now in their ninth year and growing, with well over 400 guests in attendance at this year’s event, held on 24th November at The Grange St. Paul’s Hotel, London.
Hill Dickinson was shortlisted for three awards in total including Defendant Personal Injury Team of the Year, Outstanding Case of the Year and Defendant Personal Injury Lawyer of the Year.
Following her win, Maria Pittordis said: “I am delighted to have been chosen for this award from such a strong shortlist and very proud of my team as a whole for being shortlisted for Defendant Personal Injury Team of the Year. The team has been working extremely hard and it is great to see that their work is being recognised.”
Maria qualified as a Barrister in 1985 and joined Hill Dickinson in 1987, becoming a partner in 1992. She is an expert in dealing with all aspects arising from any accident minor or major, civil or criminal on land, at sea or offshore. Maria is well-versed in handling complex multi-jurisdictional claims that often arise in the shipping and travel industries and is widely acknowledged as a leading figure in the Personal Injury and regulatory sector of the marine, ports, shipping, offshore and travel and leisure sectors.
