A 1000 ton crane will arrive at the Hudson River to recover the tugboat involved in a deadly accident near the Tappan Zee Bridge.
A huge heave duty crane from Virginia will arrive at Hudson river to lift the sunken boat ‘Specialist’. The boat sank after it crashed into a construction barge near the Tappan Zee bridge.
Three crew members aboard the tugboat were killed. One man’s body is still inside. Divers are on full swing to reach the missing seafarer. Poor visibility, bad weather and lack of information about his position on the vessel are posing a bad hinderance for the divers.
The seafarer will be rescued once the tugboat is lifted to the surface.
“They searched everywhere they could reach,” said Westchester County Police spokesman Kieran O’Leary.
