Latest version, RISK4SEA 4.0

Gone are the days when each port of call was like a ‘black box’ for vessels and ship operators; with the launch of RISK4SEA platform in late 2020, operators can now be aware of what to expect and get ready for a challenging PSC inspection, without the fear of the unknown.

In addition, latest version, RISK4SEA 4.0, transforms the platform into a dynamic and powerful tool that makes ship operators’ work substantially easier providing among others ship, manager and port specific PSC risk assessment and up-to-date notifications.

Given what is at stake in these days and era, it is of paramount importance to assess the forthcoming call with respect to PSC Inspection risks in order to identify probability and severity of a potential inspection and therefore arrive into a Ship, Manager and Port Specific Prioritization Checklist to assist the manager and office to minimize risk and prepare accordingly.

About new version

In this context, the new RISK4SEA version introduces Ship, Manager & Port Specific PSC Port Call Risk Assessment (POCRA). This is a dynamic ship, manager and port specific tool considering up to 30 parameters that assess both the probability and severity of an inspection, identifying at the same time weak points and targeting areas.

In particular, following analysis of several parameters that POCRA takes into account, it is revealed whether any inspection is improbable, probable, or certain, providing insights on to which parameters affect the end result (Inspection Probability Assessment).

Furthermore, it is revealed whether the potential inspection may be of Minor, Significant or Major impact and may disrupt operational readiness of the ship, providing insights on to which parameters should be prioritized (Inspection Severity Assessment). As a result of the Port Call Risk Assessment (POCRA), the platform may provide a detailed insight into which categories should be prioritized with a detailed listing of the deficiency codes almond with detailed guidance.

Operators along with other stakeholders have many options to use the Port Call Risk Assessment (POCRA); either incorporated in a Platform License, available on the cloud or integrating it with their ERP via API, to meet their exact needs, ensuring that nothing will go unnoticed for their next call.

Alternatively to the stand alone reporting on a case by case basis, the introduction of a Detention Insurance Policy (DIP) is a new service provided to Ship Managers on the basis of API and mail notification based on the Automated POCRA Function of the Platform.
