MSC Cruises has shared its plans to make its first sailing to China. The plan is to extend its services of grand voyage involving back-to-back journeys across the continents. The maiden call will be undertaken by newly-renovated MSC Lirica to China after a 60-day, round-the-world Grand Voyage through Europe, starting from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The voyage is scheduled to begin on March 3, 2016, and is expected to reach Shanghai on May 1, 2016.

MSC Cruises CEO Gianni Onorato is happy to introduce and include interesting places like China and Cuba in the brand new itinerary. This itinerary offers a chance to visit some of the most appealing places from Brazil to China via Europe giving a wide exposure to the huge array of people and cultures. This is the reflection of the commitment of new Grand Voyage to offer innovative and sought-after destinations to their experienced guests and holiday-makers.

The Grand Voyage Cruise is offered in three different versions with Shanghai as the final destination.  The guests have a choice of starting their journey from Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, Genoa in Italy or Dubai in the UAE.

MSC Lirica consists of 132 suite cabins, each with a private balcony and double bed. The guest can convert these beds into two single beds. Along with this, other facilities like air conditioning, spacious wardrobe, bathroom with bathtub, TV, telephone, wireless internet access and a minibar are also offered to their guests.
