On Monday 27th July 2015, Nordic American Tankers Ltd has decided to acquire two modern far East Suezmax tankers, thus expanding its total fleet count to 26 vessels. The new acquisitions are tankers at an average age of not more than five years. They are expected to be delivered during September-October 2015. The total expected cost is around $122 million, which the company plans to finance without floating equity.
The company believes that the additional fleet will increase its dividend capacity and earning potential.
