Push to Preserve Legendary Explorer’s Ship Beneath Frozen Continent

A plan has been launched to protect and conserve the wreck of legendary Antarctic explorer Ernest Shackleton’s ship Endurance.

In March 2022, the ship, which sank in 1915, was found 3008 metres deep in the Weddell Sea, a pocket in the Southern Ocean along the northern coast of Antarctica, south of the Falkland Islands.
