CSSC Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding Heavy Industry inked two bulk carriers order from domestic company Xiehai Group, reports Seatrade Maritime News.
CSSC’s Vessel Design
The two 210,000dwt bulk carriers, designed by China State Shipbuilding Corporation’s design and research unit CSDC, will be in 300 metres length and 50 metres width, meeting IMO’s Tier III requirements.
First Collaboration
It is a first time co-operation between CSSC’s Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding and Xiehai Group, which could further strengthen Beihai Shipbuilding’s position in Newcastlemax vessel construction sector, said the shipyard.
Beihai Shipbuilding’s Customer Orders
Currently, Beihai Shipbuilding has around twenty 210,000 bulk carriers order on hand.
