Radio Holland, based in Singapore specialises in Navigation and communication, IT systems and AV entertainment. It is a part of Imtech Marine, a company that is well known for providing maritime solutions for Navigation, Communication and Connectivity solutions to vessels and platforms.

Radio Holland in Singapore and Thome Ship Management have signed a Managed Service Agreement (MSA) for four years on 24/7 basis with the former agreeing to maintain the nine vessels of the latter. Radio Holland will maintain the marine electronic equipment including navigation, communication, automation and IT equipment as a part of this new development. Nine vessels come under this agreement of which all are chemical/oil tankers of around 45,000 to 50,000 dwt. The contract includes everything from annual radio surveys to servicing bridge equipment, to the delivery of spare parts and on-the-spot troubleshooting.

“Radio Holland has a large global network and enjoys a good reputation.  We need a reliable partner we can call on to support our worldwide activities.  We were looking for suitable partners to assist our tanker pool, the Champion fleet, but we found there were not so many companies with a network as extensive as Radio Holland.  It is also convenient for us to have a local contact in Singapore, where we know the people and they help us wherever our vessels are in the world,” said Thome Ship Management Fleet Group manager, Tihomar Baraba.
