Seacon Shipping Group Holdings Limited disclosed a noteworthy transaction recently revealing the acquisition of two tankers/chemical tankers by its subsidiaries, Golden Iris Ships Ltd. and Golden Jasmine Ships Ltd. The vessels, purchased from Union Maritime for US$14 million each, underscore Seacon Shipping’s strategic expansion in maritime operations.
Season Shipping’s Strategic Acquisition of Two Vessels
Seacon Shipping Group Holdings Limited announces the acquisition of two tankers/chemical tankers by its subsidiaries, Golden Iris Ships Ltd. and Golden Jasmine Ships Ltd. The vessels, purchased from Union Maritime for US$14 million each, boast a gross tonnage of 11,271 tons and were built in 2012 by Taizhou Sanfu Shipbuilding. The delivery of both vessels is anticipated in December this year. As part of the deal, Union Maritime will charter back the vessels for two years at A$16,250 per day, with a one-year extension option at A$16,500 per day.
