Seafarer Missing After a Bulker Collision Off Baradero

The bulker hit a runaway sand carrier in parana river near Baradero in Argentina.  The sand carrier was reported to be paving way for the bulker to pass away in parana river, but suddenly lost control resulting in it jumping into the bulker’s course.  Due to the impact of the collision two seafarers fell overboard.

The coast guard mounted a quick search and rescue operation and saved one of the two crew who were overboard, the other one is still missing.  Many teams have joined the search for the missing seafarer.

The coast guard has reopened the traffic on the river after a brief interruption within the same day.  There were no environmental damage reported from the incident.
