The Singapore Maritime Foundation (SMF) has launched “Choose Your MariTimeline,” a talent attraction campaign highlighting diverse career opportunities in Singapore’s maritime industry. Part of the broader “Own Your Future” initiative, this campaign uses immersive digital experiences to showcase real-life career paths, aiming to attract youths and young adults to the dynamic and global maritime sector.

“Choose Your MariTimeline” presents the career stories of four maritime professionals from various educational backgrounds. This campaign emphasizes that individuals with or without direct maritime experience can succeed in the industry. Highlighting diverse career pathways encourages jobseekers to leverage their domain or transferable skills to significantly impact Singapore’s naval sector.

Engaging and Authentic Digital Experience

The campaign features an immersive microsite where participants can explore key career moments of professionals entering the maritime industry. Through short video stories, users can discover how their unique skills, education, and work experiences are valuable in sustainability management, green fuel trading, chartering, and network planning.

Industry Exposure and Opportunities

Participants in the campaign have a chance to win the “MariTimeline VIP Pass,” offering an exclusive industry exposure experience. Organized with Ocean Network Express (ONE), this opportunity includes going aboard one of ONE’s vessels, having lunch with the CEO, and networking with senior maritime executives at ONE’s global headquarters in Singapore. This initiative aims to provide firsthand insights into shipping technologies and the diverse career possibilities within the maritime industry.
