A container ship suffered damages due to severe storm and was taken for repairs to the port of Rotterdam.  The vessel was enroute from Genoa to London.

To meet the schedule, the container vessel will skip the ports of Genoa, Fos and Sydney on southbound voyage.

The cargo destined for Genoa will be discharged in Damietta and transshipped to the next EAX northbound vessel to the Italian port.  The Sydney bound cargo that’s in the ship will be transshipped in Melbourne.

Authorities say little delays are expected but no service disruption, despite the hardships.
