The technical problem aggravated forcing the ship to drop anchor for repair works.  Also, the bad weather forced the anchor to drag, and the ship went adrift towards beach Kervel, in a danger of grounding.  Coastguards and the local authorities received a call for assistance from the crew of the vessel, who dispatched the salvage tug to assist the bulker.

According to the Regional Operational Centre for Surveillance and Rescue, the situation is under control and vessel was towed back to the anchorage.

Seafarers are safe on board with no one injured.  The ship is expected to resume voyage after repair of the propulsion system.
