A South Korean car carrier got caught in a stormy condition and ran aground off Busan on Apr 17, 2016.  The storm that battered the southern part of the country got the small 2,736 dwt car carrier into trouble near the Yeong-gu area.

Reports say that the fuel tanks of the carrier might have got damaged, hence leaking bunker fuel.  The 30-year old ship owned by Duwon Shipping, might be carrying nearly 100 tons of fuel at the time of the incident.

Stormy weather conditions are hampering the cleanup operation.
