  • The service provides an analytics tool incorporating voyage reporting and sensor performance data.

Hans Tankers will take StormGeo’s vessel optimization services, Ship&Bunker.

Hansa Tankers and StormGeo

The two companies have come together to roll out StormGeo’s s-Insight Fleet performance management software across the Hansa Tankers.

The service provides an analytics tool incorporating voyage and weather reporting and sensor performance data. It will allow the companies to regulate and optimize the ship’s fuel consumption and emissions. Hans Tankers have a pool of more than 50 chemical tankers of 19,000-33,000 DWT in size.

Digital services are increasingly used by shipping companies to monitor the fleet’s performance and recognize measures to improve fuel efficiency ahead of GHG emissions regulations.

Views on this partnership

The chief operating officer at Hansa Tankers, Torfim Eide said that StormGeo’s insight contributes tools for managing the environmental and commercial performance of the fleet.

The new and actionable insight that enables immediate CO2 influence on trade can be obtained by adding weather and routing data to the operator’s decision-making toolbox. This will firmly enrich the pool’s financial performance and environmental footprint in the forthcoming years.
