According to the local media reports on Wednesday, a ship carrying 3,170 gallons of oil sank near the northwestern Albanian town of Shengjin. A concern for the pollution has raised.

The authorities of Shengjin port confirmed the news and has taken measures to contain the pollution.  A local media report stated that – the oil from the sunk vessel polluted the Adriatic Sea in the region of the accident.

There are no reports regarding the amount of oil spill and its level of pollution.
