Tanker Quarantined After Crew Test Positive for COVID-19

  • Product tanker Nordic Wolverine ran aground at Barranquilla on July 19.
  • The vessel was refloated on  July 30 by 4 tugs, and taken to anchorage at Cano Dulce area.
  • Authorities ran tests and found 3 crew members were virus positive, putting the tanker under quarantine.

Crew members found coronavirus positive on the tanker Nordic Wolverine, and the vessel was quarantined, reports Maritime Bulletin.

As of morning August 12, tanker Nordic Wolverine was still anchored at Cano Dulce area, west of Barranquilla, Colombia, reportedly assessing damages she sustained while being aground during July 19-30.

The Colombian authorities ran tests and found three test positive crew members and the tanker is under quarantine now.
