The shipyard in Leer, Germany, witnessed the successful launch of ‘Thun Resource,’ our Nb. 467, on Friday, November 10th at 11:00 AM. This vessel marks the inaugural ship among a series of six being constructed for our esteemed clients, Erik Thun A.B. / Thun Tankers.

Enhanced Evolution

The “R-Class” vessels, commissioned as a progression from the previously supplied E-class tankers to Thun, maintain identical main dimensions.

However, they now feature 13 coated cargo tanks, underscoring continued emphasis on resource efficiency, environmental consciousness, and logistical dependability.

Advanced Features

These upcoming vessels will adhere to cutting-edge design standards, frequently surpassing both current and future regulations.

With a capacity of 7999 Dw Tons and 9700 m3 spread across 13 coated cargo tanks, they’ll measure Loa 115m, B 15.9 mtr, draft 6.95 mtr. Their Iceclass rating of 1A, coupled with a 1950 kW main engine, suits them for year-round Baltic service.
