- Thyssenkrupp and Wilhelmsen have teamed up to create “Pelagus 3D,” a joint venture that will provide digital spare parts for the global maritime industry using advanced 3D printing technology.
- Thyssenkrupp brings its additive manufacturing expertise and digital supply chain solutions to the table, while Wilhelmsen contributes maritime industry know-how.
- Pelagus 3D’s digital platform, powered by thyssenkrupp Materials Services, will connect customers, ship managers, and OEMs with a global partner network for efficient local manufacturing.
- The venture is headquartered in Singapore, with Ken Lip Ong from thyssenkrupp and Håkon Ellekjær from Wilhelmsen leading as CEO and CCO, respectively.
