Vega Reederei is on the hunt for younger tonnage, reports Splash247.
Demand for modern tonnage
The German box tonnage provider has recently taken delivery of the 1,868 teu Vega Daytona, the second newbuild to deliver from China’s Yangfan Shipyard this year with the owner very happy with the performance, speed and consumption from the new pair of ships.
“Our customers demand modern tonnage from tonnage providers. That is why Vega is open for further newbuilds or resales of young modern eco designs,” Torsten Brügge, managing partner of Vega Reederei, told Splash.
Hamburg-based Vega Reederei, founded 104 years ago, has one handysize bulk carrier and a product tanker to go alongside its seven boxships.
