[Watch] Docked Cargo Vessel Catches Fire

On December 27, a wooden cargo vessel reportedly caught fire when it was docked at port.

What happened?

The wooden cargo vessel which is unnamed reportedly caught fire when it was docked at the Bongao, Tawi-Tawi pier.

The fire is reported to have originated from the ship’s engine room and lasted for around three hours before it was extinguished.

Fire brought under control:

The Philippine Coastguards were called in to put out the fire with military units, and local firefighters working together to put the fire out.

The fire was brought under control and fortunately no one was injured during the incident.

An investigation has been carried out to determine the reason for the fire.
