With the very first diesel engine in 1897 an evolution started.
Since then MAN Diesel & Turbo has continuously developed and produced diesel engines which can run on a broad range of fuels ever since. E.g. nowadays dual fuel engines move ships or generate power for numerous households. And further developments are still ongoing.
