A 43-year-old fisherman faced breathing problems and numbness of his extremities while fishing 75 miles southeast of Cape May. Watchstanders in Philadelphia received the initial reports around 8:30 a.m. and dispatched a helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City around 11 a.m.
He was medevaced and taken to Maryland hospital.
Coast Guard said in their press release : “The helicopter crew hoisted the man and transferred him to Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin, Maryland. A C-130 Hercules aircrew from Coast Guard Air Station Elizabeth City, North Carolina, also responded to the case.”
