On January 1, a bulk carrier reportedly allided with a mooring bridge when it was performing a docking maneuver.
What happened?
The bulk carrier ‘Action Trader’ was involved in an allision with a mooring bridge when it trying to make a docking maneuver. The vessel was trying to perform a docking maneuver at the terminal Petrokimia in Gresik port when the incident occurred.
Damages suffered:
During the course of the allision, the mooring bridge was slightly damaged. The bulk carrier also caused injuries to the dolphin which were present in the area before proceeding to damage a catwalk present in the bridge before it was brought under control.
The vessel is detained at the port until further evaluation of the damage has been carried out.
