[Watch] World’s Largest Container Ship Undocks From East China

The Yangzi Xinfu Shipbuilding Co. shipyard witnessed the undocking of the largest container ship in the world—the first of its kind to be built in China. Ltd. on October 29 in Taixing City, Jiangsu Province, eastern China.

The two container ships, which have a combined capacity of 24,346 TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units), set a new record for the city in the top ultra-large container ship construction category.

After finishing follow-up outfitting and sea trials, the two ships will be delivered to the shipowner in February of the following year.
