[Watch] The Rescue Of An Injured Crewman

The Captain of a fishing vessel alerted the Coast Guard to rescue his crewmate who was struck in his head by a steel rigging cable.  The crew aboard the vessel couldn’t’ stop the bleeding.  The flight crew RESCUE 6558 located the vessel and began the rescue operations.

The 48-year-old man was lifted through the rigging and was brought up safely onboard the aircraft.

Lieutenant Commander Jones said, “Great job by the personnel of the Northern Lights in calling the Coast Guard early before the injury became too critical. We wish him a speedy recovery.”
