A rescue operation was undertaken by the Greek patrol boat EL.AKT, but they couldn’t succeed. On Wednesday 26th August 2015, there was a report of an unidentified male body discovered by Rhodes port authorities in the Prasonisi area. Later the body was identified as the missing crew member by the ship’s master. The Hellenic Coast Guard (HCG) is to investigate the actual cause of death while the ship was sailing across the Aegean Sea between Karpathos and Rhodes Islands.
