An unauthorized entrant into the Donnie Bruces shipyard died, whereas two others escaped, when the entrant fell through the hatch of a scottish vessel at Rosneath.
A spokesman for DRB Marine said “We had an unauthorised entry to the shipyard by a member of the public who subsequently fell through a hatch. They were taken from the ship to the hospital.”
On 14th February, Sunday afternoon, the 21-year-old man of general public fell through the hatch of a 7000 tonne cargo vessel. The 25 ft fall left him unconscious. The emergency services reported to have rushed to the spot immediately and airlifted him to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow. Reports said that the man later died in the early hours of Monday. The authorities have started investigations regarding the incident.
