On July 6, twelve people were reportedly injured after leakage of flammable liquid from a vessel.
What happened?
The 6,000 gallon unnamed vessel carrying flammable liquid developed a leakage near the Port of Long beach, California.
12 crew members hurt:
During the incident, 12 crew members onboard the ship were injured and were treated by doctors for minor injuries.
However, the injuries were reportedly not caused by the leakage but occurred due to other reasons.
Twelve people were reported hurt Sunday after a ship leaked a “flammable liquid” near the Port of Long Beach in California.
Area cordoned off:
The area surrounding the vessel was cordoned off due to precautionary measures. The fire department also tweeted that “precautionary measures” were being taken to protect the environment, with crews setting up a perimeter around the ship
Investigation underway:
The officials have initiated investigation to determine the cause of the substance leakage and are assessing the environment for any potential damages.
