Container Ship Disabled After Engine Failure

A container ship suffered engine failure and was disabled on Aug 6 east of Cam Ranh, Vietnam, en route from Saigon, reports Maritime Bulletin. 

What happened?

Container ship PROMOTE suffered engine failure and was disabled on Aug 6 east of Cam Ranh, Vietnam, en route from Saigon to northern Vietnamese port. 

Towed to anchorage

The Coast Guard responded immediately and sent a tug. The ship was then towed to safe anchorage in Phan Rang waters, south of Cam Ranh. 

As of Aug 7, the ship is probably fixed and is under way. Her AIS is off for more than 24 hours.
