Training Course on Safety Culture and Leadership in The Shipping Industry

853

Safety Culture interventions are the next measures for reducing incidents and accidents in Shipping. Any group with a stable membership and a history of shared learning will have developed some level of culture, says a press release published on their website.

This can be a group of same nationality, same company, same branch office, same team, on board the same ship or same occupation. Culture is constantly reenacted and created by our interactions with others and shaped by our own behavior.

Various Socialization Experiences

The maritime business is, by its very nature, a truly global business. This means that every day people from different cultures and different countries are interacting with each other. Safety leadership and values drive continuous improvement.  How we are supposed to perceive, feel and act in a given shipping company, department, team or occupation has been taught to us by our various socialization experiences.

This interactive training includes activities that will develop the capabilities of the participants to understand cultural differences, the influence of leadership and their effects on the key day-to-day operations in the shipping industry.
